Description

Copper Ingot is obtained by smelting raw copper, copper ore, or deepslate copper ore in a furnace or blast furnace; one input produces one ingot. Nine Copper Ingots also come from converting one Block of Copper back into items. Copper entered Minecraft in Java Edition 1.17 and serves as the processed form of the copper resource.

Copper Ingot is used to craft a Block of Copper, Lightning Rod, Spyglass, Brush, Copper Door, and other copper equipment available in the current recipe set. A blast furnace processes copper-bearing material twice as fast as a normal furnace, while the normal furnace accepts the same three smelting inputs. Store surplus Copper Ingots as copper blocks when chest space matters, then convert each block back into nine ingots when a recipe needs individual pieces.
