Copper Ore
Copper Ore drops raw copper for smelting into ingots — the source of lightning rods, spyglasses, and oxidizing builds.

Description
Copper Ore generates throughout the Overworld between y=−16 and y=112, with the highest concentration around y=48 and unusually large veins inside dripstone caves. Visually it sits between iron and gold ores: a stone block speckled with bright orange dots that turn to a duller brown if the player isn't paying attention. A stone pickaxe is the minimum required tool — wood lets nothing drop.
Mining it yields raw copper, which smelts into copper ingots in any furnace, blast furnace, or smelter. Nine ingots compress into one copper block. The defining feature of this material is oxidation: any placed copper block — including stairs, slabs, and waxed variants — slowly turns from shiny orange through three darker stages of patina until it ends up the iconic green of a Statue of Liberty. The lightning rod, spyglass, and copper bulb are crafted from this ingot supply.
