How many items are in a stack in Minecraft?

A full stack is 64 items for most blocks and items. Some items stack to only 16 — ender pearls, snowballs, eggs, signs, buckets and honey bottles — and others do not stack at all (tools, weapons, armor, potions and boats), so they take one slot each.

How many items fit in a double chest?

A double chest has 54 slots. At 64 items per stack that is 3,456 items. Filled with shulker boxes it holds up to 54 × 27 × 64 = 93,312 items.

How many slots does a shulker box have?

A shulker box has 27 slots, so it holds up to 27 stacks — that is 1,728 items at 64 per stack.

How many stacks is a given number of items?

Divide the item count by the stack size (usually 64). The whole number is the full stacks and the leftover is the remainder. For example, 200 items at 64 per stack equals 3 full stacks and 8 left over.

Can you put a shulker box inside another shulker box?

No. Shulker boxes cannot be nested. You can store shulker boxes in chests, barrels, ender chests or your inventory, but not inside another shulker box.
