Text formatting is a reference of Minecraft colour codes plus an editor where you can try them straight away.
In the game, colour and style come from a section sign followed by one character. There are sixteen colours and six styles: Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough, Obfuscated and Reset. The codes work in chat, on signs, in books, in the server description and in item names.
Every code is shown with an example and copies in one click — either with the section sign or with an ampersand, the way server configs expect it.
Below that sits the editor. Type your text, press the colour and style buttons and watch the result appear. The preview background switches between a sign, a book, chat, the server description and plain ground — so you can check the text reads well exactly where it will show up.
