Incubator
The Incubator is a 1×2 LV-tier (low voltage, up to 32 EU/tick) multiblock that mutates items by uranium irradiation and EU — duplicating, transforming, or creating new materials.
Description
Each mutation kind has its own cost and success chance: transform (0.75, 15 s, 2400 EU), duplicate (0.45, 25 s, 4000 EU), and create (0.25, 50 s, 8000 EU). On success a rarity grade is rolled — Common 70 %, Rare 20 %, Epic 8 %, Legendary 2 % — and 5 % of failed attempts leave irradiated_slag. The base block is crafted from 3 glass, 2 uranium plates, 1 machine casing, 1 electronic circuit, and 2 iron plates, for Minecraft 26.2 (Java Edition) on Fabric or NeoForge.

How to use an Incubator in Minecraft
-
1
Place the mechanical base
Set the Incubator base on a solid block where you can reach both halves. It is a 1×2 multiblock, so leave the space directly above it free.
-
2
Form the glass dome
Put any glass block (the c:glass tag) directly on top of the base. It auto-converts into the dome, and stained glass tints the dome's color.
-
3
Insert a mutation chip
Place a mutation chip (duplicate, transform, or create) in the top-left chip slot. The chip sets the mode and is never consumed; without it the Incubator will not run.
-
4
Add uranium fuel and an input item
Drop one uranium_ingot into the fuel slot for 3 irradiation charges, then place the item to mutate in the input slot.
-
5
Supply LV EU
Connect the base to an LV energy grid (up to 32 EU/tick). The Incubator draws 8 EU/tick while a cycle runs and rolls the outcome on the final tick.
The result is decided only at the end of the cycle — pulling the input mid-operation does not cancel it, and breaking the multiblock loses the uranium charge.

Frequently asked questions
Can you craft an Incubator?
Yes. The shaped recipe is 3 glass, 2 uranium plates, 1 machine casing, 1 electronic circuit, and 2 iron plates, yielding one Incubator.
What powers the Incubator?
It runs on LV EU at up to 32 EU/tick and draws 8 EU/tick while working, plus one uranium_ingot as irradiation fuel that grants 3 charges before becoming depleted_uranium.
What do the three mutation chips do?
Each chip sets a mode: duplicate (1 → 2), transform (A → B), or create a new mod material. The chip is never consumed and cannot be pulled out by automation.
Is a mutation always successful?
No. Success chances are 0.75 for transform, 0.45 for duplicate, and 0.25 for create. On success a rarity grade is rolled, and 5 % of failed attempts leave irradiated_slag.
Does the Incubator work on Bedrock Edition?
No. Ala Industrial is a Java Edition 26.2 mod for Fabric and NeoForge only; there is no Bedrock version.
