Irradiated Diamond is a mutated material that only the Incubator can create from a diamond, at 25% odds per 8000 EU attempt.
Description
Irradiated Diamond is the first rung of the energy-density branch on the Incubator's evolution ladder, and honesty first: nothing in the current Ala Industrial release consumes it. The higher rungs, such as the diamond matrix, are planned for a future release, so treat the gem as stockpile material until then. There is no crafting-table recipe for Irradiated Diamond and no reverse mutation back into a diamond. Every success also rolls a rarity grade: a Common result (70%) stacks to 64 with no trace, while Rare, Epic and Legendary results (20/8/2%) gain colored names. Irradiated Diamond behaves identically on Fabric and NeoForge in Minecraft 26.2 (Java Edition).

How to get an Irradiated Diamond in Ala Industrial

Build the Incubator
Craft the Incubator base (1 machine casing, 2 uranium plates, 3 glass, 1 electronic circuit, 2 iron plates) and place any glass block on top to form the irradiation dome.

Insert a Creation Chip
Put the Creation Chip in the top-left slot. It is crafted from an Empty Chip flanked by a diamond and an echo shard with a uranium plate below, and the machine never consumes it.

Connect LV power
The Incubator draws 8 EU/tick while running and its internal buffer stores 8000 EU — exactly one creation attempt. Any LV power source up to 32 EU/tick keeps the machine cycling.

Load uranium fuel
Place a uranium ingot in the fuel slot: one ingot holds three irradiation charges and burns down into Depleted Uranium in the ash slot, which feeds the future nuclear branch.

Run the diamond
Drop a diamond in the input slot and wait 50 seconds (1000 ticks). The attempt costs 8000 EU and succeeds 25% of the time; a plain failure loses the diamond, and 5% of attempts leave Irradiated Slag.
Nothing consumes Irradiated Diamond in the current release — the higher rungs of the energy-density ladder are future content, so stockpile results instead of building an Incubator farm around them.

How do you get an Irradiated Diamond?
Only the Incubator can produce it: insert a Creation Chip, power the machine with LV, feed it uranium ingots and run a diamond through the 50-second creation cycle, which succeeds 25% of the time.
Can you craft Irradiated Diamond at a crafting table?
No. The mutation exists only inside the Incubator, and there is no reverse recipe that turns an Irradiated Diamond back into a diamond either.
How much does one attempt cost?
One creation attempt lasts 1000 ticks (50 seconds) and consumes 8000 EU plus one of the three charges stored in a uranium ingot. The Incubator draws 8 EU/tick, and its buffer holds exactly one full attempt.
What happens when a mutation fails?
The input diamond is lost. In 5% of attempts the machine drops Irradiated Slag into the output slot instead of an empty failure; the slag is a dead-end item with no recipes.

Is Irradiated Diamond renewable?
