Description

The Advanced Circuit is the second circuit tier of Ala Industrial and the first component that forces the mod's two parallel paths to meet: metalworking and oil refining. It is an item, not a placeable block — it appears only as an ingredient in MV-tier recipes and stacks to 64. The recipe upgrades a finished Electronic Circuit: the circuit sits in the centre of the 3×3 grid, four gold plates run along the edges (rewiring the board onto a better conductor) and four rubber seal the corners (protecting the board). Two Advanced Circuits go into every Advanced Machine Casing, and through the casing the part lands in the price of every MV machine — the first of them is the Assembler.

The expensive half of the recipe is the rubber. One piece costs a bucket of oil, four sulfur dust and 800 EU across the Polymerizer and the Vulcanizer, so a single Advanced Circuit burns four buckets of oil and 3,200 EU on sealing alone. An Electric Heater placed under the Vulcanizer raises the heat level of each cycle, so the same batch of raw rubber and sulfur yields up to three pieces instead of one. The gold enters as plates rather than ingots — a plate requires a Forge Hammer or a Compressor (260 EU per plate), meaning the metalworking phase is already finished. LV recipes stay untouched: LV machines keep asking for the plain Electronic Circuit and the plain Machine Casing, so the Advanced Circuit only matters from the moment you push into MV.

Ala Industrial Guide

How to craft an Advanced Circuit in Ala Industrial

  1. 1

    Build the plain Electronic Circuit

Craft the LV-tier Electronic Circuit first — it is the base board the whole recipe sits on.

  2. 2

    Prepare four gold plates

Turn gold ingots into four Gold Plates with a Forge Hammer or a Compressor; the recipe takes plates, not ingots.

  3. 3

Run the oil chain for rubber

Polymerize a bucket of oil into raw rubber, then vulcanize it with four sulfur dust; each rubber costs 800 EU across the two machines.

  4. 4

    Place the grid

Put the Electronic Circuit in the centre of the 3×3 grid, the gold plates along the edges and the rubber in the corners; one craft yields one Advanced Circuit.

  5. 5

    Spend two on a casing

Two Advanced Circuits go into every Advanced Machine Casing — the gateway part for every MV machine, starting with the Assembler.

Rubber is the bottleneck

An Electric Heater under the Vulcanizer raises the heat level of the cycle, so the same batch of one raw rubber and four sulfur dust yields up to three rubber instead of one.

Frequently asked questions

Can you craft the Advanced Circuit?

Yes. Place one Electronic Circuit in the centre of a 3×3 crafting grid, four gold plates along the edges and four rubber in the corners; the craft yields one Advanced Circuit.

What is the Advanced Circuit used for?

It is a pure crafting ingredient. Two Advanced Circuits go into every Advanced Machine Casing, and through the casing into every MV machine — the first of them is the Assembler.

Is the Advanced Circuit a block?

No, it is an item. It cannot be placed in the world, stores no energy and stacks to 64.

Is the Advanced Circuit renewable?

No. Gold can be farmed, but every rubber consumes a bucket of oil — a finite world resource — plus four sulfur dust, so the circuit cannot be crafted renewably.

Do LV machines need the Advanced Circuit?

No. LV recipes keep using the plain Electronic Circuit and the plain Machine Casing; the Advanced Circuit is required only from the MV tier onwards.

How do you make the rubber cheaper?

Put an Electric Heater under the Vulcanizer. The heat level sets the yield, so the same batch of one raw rubber and four sulfur dust returns up to three rubber instead of one.
