Description

Small Mob Repeller is the first tier of the Ala Industrial guard-field line for Minecraft 26.2: while the block is powered, hostile mobs flee a cube with an 8-block radius (17×17×17) and cannot approach your base. The field sweeps the zone twice a second: zombies, skeletons, creepers and spiders turn and run past the boundary, phantoms, ghasts and slimes are pushed outside, and an angered enderman teleports away. Passive animals, villagers and players are untouched, calm neutral mobs are left alone until provoked, and the single exception is the shulker, which stays anchored to its block. Piglins and hoglins fear the block natively, the way they fear soul torches, and while the field is running the emitter on top glows teal at light level 14.

The field of the Small Mob Repeller is an upkeep cost, not a per-mob fee: a constant 8 EU/t while enabled, input of up to 32 EU/t (LV) through any face, and a 2,000 EU internal buffer that rides out short outages. A redstone signal switches the field off and stops the drain, so a lever doubles as a power switch. Craft Small Mob Repeller at a crafting table from four silver plates, a soul lantern, two copper coils, an advanced machine casing and an advanced circuit, then insert a Soul Vessel filled with 80 souls — the block grows into the Medium Mob Repeller with a 16-block radius and keeps its stored energy. Torches inside the zone are still needed: the field drives mobs out but does not stop them from spawning.

Guide

How to use the Small Mob Repeller in Ala Industrial

  1. 1

    Craft the block

At a crafting table place four silver plates in the corners, a soul lantern on top, an advanced machine casing in the centre, two copper coils on the sides and an advanced circuit at the bottom.

  2. 2

Place it and wire an LV line

Set the Small Mob Repeller next to the entrance you protect and run an LV cable from a Battery Box — the block accepts up to 32 EU/t through any of its six faces.

  3. 3

    Let the field run

While powered, the Small Mob Repeller sweeps an 8-block radius (17×17×17) twice a second and expels hostile mobs for a constant upkeep of 8 EU/t.

  4. 4

    Preview the zone border

Right-click the block and press the dome button to project the translucent zone boundary into the world — the dome is visible only to you.

  5. 5

Control it and plan the upgrade

A redstone signal switches the field off to save energy; insert a Soul Vessel with 80 souls and the block grows into the Medium Mob Repeller.

Important

The field expels mobs but does not prevent spawning — keep torches inside the zone, and do not overfill the Soul Vessel: souls above the 80 threshold burn with it.

Frequently asked questions

Can you craft the Small Mob Repeller?

Yes. Combine four silver plates, a soul lantern, two copper coils, an advanced machine casing and an advanced circuit at a crafting table; the medium and large tiers cannot be crafted and grow only from this block.

How large is the protection zone?

The zone is a 17×17×17 cube — an 8-block radius in every direction from the block, matching the dome the preview button shows.

How much energy does the Small Mob Repeller use?

The field costs a constant 8 EU/t while enabled, accepts up to 32 EU/t (LV) through any face and rides out short outages on a 2,000 EU buffer.

Does the Small Mob Repeller harm villagers and animals?

No. Passive mobs, villagers and players are unaffected, and calm neutral mobs are left alone — an angered enderman simply teleports away, and only the shulker stays.

How do you turn the Small Mob Repeller off?

Apply a redstone signal with a lever or a comparator: the field goes dark and stops drawing power until the signal is removed.

How do you upgrade it to the medium tier?

Insert a Soul Vessel into the slot and let it collect 80 souls; the block then consumes the vessel whole and becomes a Medium Mob Repeller with a 16-block radius.
