Description

Raw Rubber is the unprocessed polymer item at the start of Ala Industrial's oil chain. The Polymerizer produces one Raw Rubber from 1000 mB of oil — a full Oil Bucket — plus 400 EU, drawing 2 EU per tick over 200 ticks at the LV tier (low voltage, up to 32 EU/tick). It is the most affordable way to turn pumped oil into a crafting ingredient, so every oil lake you drain eventually feeds Raw Rubber into storage.

Raw Rubber is only an intermediate, not a finished material: it cannot be smelted in a furnace, and the vanilla smelting shortcut was removed. To complete the chain, load Raw Rubber into a Vulcanizer with four Sulfur Dust and external heat — a campfire yields one Rubber, lava or magma yields two, and an Electric Heater yields three. Finished Rubber then insulates the mod's cables and opens the path into the MV tier. As a fallback, the Incubator can duplicate Raw Rubber at a high EU cost. Raw Rubber is an item rather than a placeable block, stacks to 64, and behaves identically on Fabric and NeoForge for Minecraft 26.2 (Java Edition).

Java Edition Guide

How to get Raw Rubber in Ala Industrial

  1. 1

    Pump or bucket the oil

Find an oil lake and collect at least 1000 mB of oil — exactly one Oil Bucket — with a pump or bucket.

  2. 2

    Place a Polymerizer

Set down a Polymerizer, the LV machine that polymerizes oil, and supply it with EU from a generator or battery.

  3. 3

    Polymerize the oil

Feed the Oil Bucket into the Polymerizer. Each operation costs 400 EU and outputs one Raw Rubber.

  4. 4

    Stockpile for vulcanizing

Keep Raw Rubber in stacks of 64 until you have Sulfur Dust and a heat source ready for the Vulcanizer.

Not smeltable

Raw Rubber can no longer be smelted in a furnace — the vanilla smelting recipe was removed. Finished Rubber requires a Vulcanizer with Sulfur Dust and external heat.

Frequently asked questions

What is Raw Rubber used for in Ala Industrial?

Raw Rubber is the intermediate item you vulcanize into finished Rubber, which insulates cables and unlocks the MV tier.

How much oil makes one Raw Rubber?

The Polymerizer turns 1000 mB of oil — one Oil Bucket — into one Raw Rubber at a cost of 400 EU.

Can you smelt Raw Rubber in a furnace?

No. The vanilla smelting recipe was removed, so Raw Rubber must be processed in a Vulcanizer with Sulfur Dust and heat.

What tier is the Polymerizer?

The Polymerizer is an LV-tier machine that draws 2 EU per tick, capped at 32 EU per tick, over 200 ticks per operation.

Is Raw Rubber renewable?

Indirectly: the Incubator can duplicate Raw Rubber at a high EU cost, but the main loop consumes finite oil from world generation.

Does Raw Rubber work on Fabric and NeoForge?

Yes, Raw Rubber behaves identically on both loaders for Minecraft 26.2 (Java Edition).
