Description

Kok-Sagyz Root is the underground segment of the Kok-Sagyz plant, a rubber-bearing dandelion added by the Ala Industrial mod for Minecraft 26.2 Java Edition on Fabric and NeoForge. A mature flower pushes a root column up to two blocks deep, and every segment copies the ground it replaces: sand stays sand and grows the root faster. Hold Shift beside a flower and the Kok-Sagyz Root shows through the soil, so the depth reads before digging.

Harvesting follows one rule: dig the tip — the lowest root block — and leave the flower standing. The tip drops 1 Kok-Sagyz Root plus a 35% chance of Kok-Sagyz Seeds, the original soil restores itself, and a new tip regrows in about 10.2 minutes on ordinary ground or 7.7 minutes in sand — roughly 6 roots per hour per plant and 8 in sand. The Macerator grinds 2 roots into 1 Raw Rubber and 1 Inulin for 300 EU, and the Vulcanizer finishes rubber with sulfur dust for another 400 EU, about 700 EU in total against 1800 EU on the oil route. The Scythe digs the ready tip without killing the bush, which makes Kok-Sagyz Root the renewable LV-era rubber source for cable insulation and advanced circuits.

How to harvest Kok-Sagyz Root in Ala Industrial

  1. 1

    Find or plant the dandelion

Search savannas, mountain meadows and windswept gravelly hills for wild Kok-Sagyz — about one chunk in 48 carries three flowers, and only in newly generated chunks. Alternatively, place Kok-Sagyz Seeds on any single block of dirt, grass, sand or farmland.

  2. 2

Check the root through the ground

Wait for the flower to turn into a seed head, walk up and hold Shift: the root column appears underground, and the inspection shows up to eight plants within five blocks.

  3. 3

    Dig only the lowest block

Break the bottom root segment, the tip: it drops 1 Kok-Sagyz Root and a 35% chance of seeds. The original soil restores itself and the flower keeps living.

  4. 4

    Wait for regrowth, then automate

The tip regrows in about 10.2 minutes on ordinary ground and 7.7 minutes in sand. A Scythe used with shift-right-click on a ripe plant digs the ready tip one or two blocks down without killing the bush.

  5. 5

    Process the roots into rubber

Load 2 Kok-Sagyz Roots into the Macerator for 1 Raw Rubber plus 1 Inulin at 300 EU, then combine raw rubber with sulfur dust in the Vulcanizer for another 400 EU.

Never break the flower

Breaking the flower is the only way to kill Kok-Sagyz: the plant dies, and any Kok-Sagyz Root left in the ground stops regrowing, though you can still dig it out. Jumping or falling onto the flower knocks the plant back one growth stage, while walking through and sneaking are always safe.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get Kok-Sagyz Root?

Dig the lowest root block under a mature Kok-Sagyz flower: the tip drops 1 Kok-Sagyz Root plus a 35% chance of seeds, and the plant regrows the segment. Wild dandelions appear in savannas, mountain meadows and windswept gravelly hills of newly generated chunks.

Does digging up the root kill the plant?

No. A dug tip leaves the flower alive and the original soil restores itself. Only breaking the flower itself kills Kok-Sagyz, and any root left in the ground then stops regrowing.

How fast does the tip regrow?

A harvested tip returns in about 10.2 minutes on ordinary ground and about 7.7 minutes in sand, which sustains roughly 6 roots per hour per plant and 8 in sand. Growth runs on random ticks and needs light level 9 or higher.

What is Kok-Sagyz Root used for?

The Macerator grinds 2 roots into 1 Raw Rubber and 1 Inulin for 300 EU, and the Vulcanizer turns raw rubber with sulfur dust into rubber for 400 EU. The rubber feeds cable insulation, advanced circuits and armor mesh in Ala Industrial.

Is Kok-Sagyz available on Bedrock Edition?

No. Ala Industrial is a Java Edition mod for Minecraft 26.2 that runs on Fabric and NeoForge; a Bedrock version of the mod does not exist.
