Description

The Garden Drone Station is the LV automation dock of the Ala Industrial mod for Minecraft 26.2 (Java Edition), working identically on Fabric and NeoForge. Place the pad beside a field and a small drone lifts off, tending every block within a 4-block radius — a 9×9 plot around the dock — while you are away. Crafting the dock costs 6 iron ingots, 2 copper ingots, and 1 Electronic Circuit, but the aircraft is a separate item: without a Garden Drone in the drone slot the station stays inert and reports "No drone docked".

Loaded with seeds, bone meal, and a hoe, the Garden Drone Station runs the whole farming cycle on its own: it harvests ripe crops first, plants seeds into empty farmland, fertilizes immature crops with bone meal, and only then tills free dirt, in that strict priority order. Every completed action draws 8 EU from the 4000 EU internal buffer, an idle station costs nothing, and the LV input accepts up to 32 EU/t. Tilling and harvesting each spend 1 durability point from the hoe in the hoe slot; when the hoe finally breaks, the slot frees up for a hopper to push in a fresh one, and the Unbreaking enchantment extends its life exactly as it does in your hand. The harvest never touches the ground — drops land directly in the station's four output slots, ready for a hopper to collect.

How to use a Garden Drone Station in Minecraft

  1. 1

Craft the dock and the drone

Craft the station from 6 iron ingots, 2 copper ingots, and 1 Electronic Circuit, then craft the Garden Drone separately from 4 copper ingots, 2 iron ingots, 1 Electronic Circuit, and 1 hopper.

  2. 2

    Dock the Garden Drone

Open the Garden Drone Station and place the Garden Drone item into the drone slot — until it docks, the station shows "No drone docked" and does nothing.

  3. 3

Load seeds, bone meal, and a hoe

Fill the seed slot with the seeds you want grown and the fertilizer slot with bone meal. Any hoe fits the hoe slot: tilling and harvesting wear it down by 1 durability point per action, while planting and fertilizing need no hoe.

  4. 4

    Connect LV power

Wire the station to any LV source such as a Generator — the input accepts up to 32 EU/t and the internal buffer holds 4000 EU, spent only when an action completes.

  5. 5

Let it tend the 9×9 plot

The drone patrols a 4-block radius around the dock, harvesting ripe crops, planting, fertilizing, and tilling in that order, and drops every harvest straight into the four output slots.

Idle costs nothing

A station with nothing to do — out of seeds, out of bone meal, or a fully tended plot — sleeps at 0 EU draw, so leaving it connected is safe.

Frequently asked questions

How large an area does the Garden Drone Station cover?

The drone patrols a 4-block radius around the dock, which covers a 9×9 plot with the station at its center.

Does the station work without the Garden Drone item?

No. The station stays inert until a Garden Drone sits in its drone slot, and the GUI shows "No drone docked" until then.

How much energy does the Garden Drone Station use?

Each completed action — tilling, planting, fertilizing, or harvesting one block — costs 8 EU from the 4000 EU buffer. The LV input accepts up to 32 EU/t, and an idle station draws nothing.

Why does the station need a hoe?

Tilling and harvesting each spend 1 durability point from the hoe slot and will not run without a hoe. Planting and fertilizing need no hoe, and a hopper can push in a fresh hoe when the old one breaks.

Where does the harvested crop go?

Drops land directly in the station's four output slots and never spawn as ground items, so a hopper can collect the whole harvest.

What is the Garden Drone Station crafted from?

Six iron ingots, two copper ingots, and one Electronic Circuit — copper, iron, copper across the top, iron, circuit, iron in the middle, and three iron ingots along the bottom.
