Cobblestone is one of the first crafting materials a player obtains in Minecraft.

Description
It drops when stone is mined without a Silk Touch pickaxe and is the foundation of nearly every early-game tool, weapon, and structure. A wooden pickaxe is the minimum required to harvest it. Cobblestone is used to craft a stone pickaxe, stone sword, stone axe, stone shovel, hoe, and a furnace — the four-block kitchen appliance every Survival player needs. It can also be processed into mossy cobblestone, cobblestone walls, slabs, and stairs. Cobblestone generators (lava-meets-water mechanics) provide an unlimited renewable supply.
