Stone Gear is the stone-tier crafting component of the Ala Industrial mod for Minecraft 26.2 (Java Edition), an intermediate item rather than a placeable block. Players arrange four stone crafting materials in a cross (north, east, south, west) around a single Wooden Gear in the center of a 3×3 grid. Cobblestone, blackstone, and cobbled deepslate all qualify for the four slots, and one craft returns exactly 1 Stone Gear. A cobblestone generator makes the material endless, which keeps Stone Gear fully renewable, while the Wooden Gear itself is a cross of four sticks around any wooden button. Stone Gear works the same on Fabric and NeoForge for Minecraft 26.2 (Java Edition), stacks to 64, and consumes no EU (energy). The recipe appears in the recipe book the moment a player holds a Wooden Gear and a stone crafting material at the same time.

Gear progression in Ala Industrial climbs from wooden to stone, then iron, then gold and silver, with Stone Gear as the cheapest stepping stone toward the metal tiers. The current LV-only release caps machinery at 32 EU/t and contains no recipe that consumes the Stone Gear, because the stone rung of the gear family is reserved for the planned MV and HV machinery tiers. The working gear of the family today is the Iron Gear, the ingredient behind the Wrench, the Fluid Tank, and the Item Pipe, and the Gold Gear drives the Diamond-Tipped Electric Chainsaw. Players who enable the vanilla Bonus Chest world option can also find 1–2 Stone Gears waiting in the starting chest.
