Description
Mossy Cobblestone has two paths to acquisition. The crafting route combines one cobblestone with one vine in any crafting slot, yielding one mossy block — a one-to-one conversion that demands no precision in placement. Alternatively, the block generates naturally inside dungeons (the small mob-spawner rooms found underground), inside jungle temples (the structures built into hillsides), and along the floors of overgrown ruins worldwide.
The texture overlays the familiar grey cobblestone with thick green vine growth and small lichen patches, suggesting a stone surface that has stood untouched long enough for vegetation to take root. For builders, this is the single most useful material for ageing a build: replace one in five cobblestone blocks in a wall with the mossy variant, and the resulting wall reads as ruin or abandonment without any other change. The full structural set — slabs, stairs, walls — exists, allowing entire ruined dungeons to be built without ever switching back to clean cobblestone.
