Oak planks are crafted from oak logs (one log produces four planks) and are the most universally used building block in Minecraft.

Description
Found naturally in villages, woodland mansions, and shipwrecks, oak planks serve as the foundation for almost every wooden recipe in the game: crafting table, stick, sticks, all wooden tools and weapons, doors, fences, signs, and stairs. They have a warm light-tan colour with a soft grain texture that fits most architectural styles. Wood is flammable, so planks should be kept away from open lava and lightning-prone roofs.
