Description
Grindstone is crafted from two sticks, one stone slab, and two planks of any wood type in the standard pattern — a cheap recipe that lands the device in most early-game bases. The two-input interface accepts items in either slot. Combining two same-type items (two iron pickaxes, two diamond swords) repairs them without using any experience, with the result keeping the durability of both items combined plus a small bonus.
The second function is decisive: placing a single enchanted item alone in the device strips its enchantments off and refunds a small amount of experience. This is the only way to undo bad enchanting choices without losing the gear, making the device essential for cleaning up unwanted librarian-trade books or removing curse-of-binding before discarding old armour. The block also serves as the workstation of the weaponsmith villager profession; placing one in a village without an active weaponsmith recruits an unemployed villager into the role.
