Reactor Lamp
Reactor Lamp lights a sealed reactor room in Ala Industrial: a shell block the scanner counts as casing, glowing only once the controller accepts the room.
Description
Because the light is born one cell inside the room, not one drop of it leaks outside, and level 15 is the maximum Minecraft offers: even a 12×12×12 interior keeps no dark corners, so no mob can spawn inside a sealed hall you cannot chase it out of. A lamp set into an edge or corner cell stays dark, because such cells have no neighbour inside the room — plan lamps into faces. Reactor Lamp draws no EU at all (0 EU/t): no energy crosses a sealed shell, and the light is bound to the room's state rather than to a cable. The block is as tough as the rest of the shell — hardness 5, blast resistance 30, pickaxe to break — and survives even a meltdown, because every shielding-alloy shell part is meltproof. One Reactor Lamp crafts from four iron ingots, three colourless glass blocks, one glowstone and one Shielding Plate.

How to use Reactor Lamp in a reactor room
-
1
Craft the lamp
Place four iron ingots in the corners of a 3×3 crafting grid, three colourless glass blocks on the sides, glowstone in the centre and one Shielding Plate at the bottom centre to yield one Reactor Lamp.
-
2
Set lamps into faces of the shell
Replace Reactor Casing cells with Reactor Lamp blocks in walls, floor or ceiling. Keep lamps out of edge and corner cells: a lamp there has no interior neighbour and never lights.
-
3
Close the room around the controller
Build a sealed box with an interior of 3 to 12 blocks per edge and the Reactor Controller in the shell. Glass may cover at most 30 percent of the shell, and lamps never count against that share.
-
4
Wait for the controller scan
When the scan accepts the room, every face lamp turns on: an invisible light source at level 15 appears in the interior cell the lamp faces, and the lit faces tell you from outside that the build passed.
-
5
Keep the interior cell clear
Leave the air cell directly opposite each Reactor Lamp empty. The controller places light only into air, so a machine parked against the wall leaves that lamp dark.
Level 15 is the maximum light in Minecraft: an interior of up to 12×12×12 keeps no dark corners, and a dark corner inside a sealed reactor hall is a mob spawn with no way to chase it out.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my Reactor Lamp dark?
The lamp block itself never emits light. The Reactor Controller places an invisible level-15 light source in the interior cell the lamp faces, and only after the scan accepts the room — check that the room is formed, the lamp sits in a face rather than an edge or corner, and the cell opposite the lamp is air.
Does Reactor Lamp count toward the 30 percent glass limit?
No. The scanner counts lamps as Reactor Casing, so a room may carry any number of lamps — zero included — without touching the share reserved for Reactor Glass windows.
How much energy does Reactor Lamp consume?
None: the lamp draws 0 EU/t. No EU crosses a sealed reactor shell at all, and the light is bound to the room's formed state, not to any cable.
Does Reactor Lamp survive a meltdown?
Yes. The lamp is crafted from shielding alloy and shares the meltproof protection of every shell part, so reactor lava melts the room's contents but never the lamp itself.
Can I light the reactor room with torches instead?
No. A torch is not a shell block, so the scanner reads the torch's cell as a breach and the room stops being formed. Reactor Lamp is the only light that doubles as wall.
