Glowstone hangs in clusters from Nether ceilings, suspended in formations that drip down over a few blocks before terminating in a pointed cluster. The texture is a hot mustard-yellow speckled with brighter golden flecks, and the block emits a steady light level of fifteen — the maximum value in Minecraft, identical to a torch but spread over the full block face for a softer glow.
Mining without Silk Touch destroys the block and drops two to four glowstone dust, with bonus rolls under Fortune.
