Description

Advanced Circuit is the higher-tier crafting component in IndustrialCraft 2 Experimental, used to build mid- and end-game IC2 machinery. Advanced Circuit is crafted from one Electronic Circuit, two Redstone Dust, and six Glowstone Dust in a shaped pattern, replacing the basic Electronic Circuit wherever stronger electronics are required. Advanced Circuit is a key ingredient in the MFE Unit (storing 4,000,000 EU), the MFSU (40,000,000 EU), the Induction Furnace, the Mass Fabricator, and the Replicator. Advanced Circuit also appears in advanced solar arrays, Nuclear Reactor chambers above the basic tier, and every piece of Quantum armor. Advanced Circuit is an item, not a placeable block, and stacks to 64 in the inventory. Because Advanced Circuit gates progression into HV (512 EU/t) machinery and Quantum gear, players usually set up a small glowstone farm in the Nether or trade with Cleric villagers before tackling MFSU-level builds.

How to craft Advanced Circuit in IndustrialCraft 2

    Prepare an Electronic Circuit

    Craft one Electronic Circuit from 6 Copper Cables and 2 Redstone around 1 Iron Plate, the standard IC2 Exp recipe.

    Gather 6 Glowstone Dust

    Mine Glowstone blocks in the Nether or trade emeralds with a Cleric villager; each block drops 2-4 dust.

    Add 2 Redstone Dust

    Mine redstone ore with an iron or higher pickaxe; one ore drops 4-5 dust, so two pieces are easy to spare.

    Use the IC2 shaped recipe

    Place glowstone in the four corners and top/bottom centre, Electronic Circuit in the middle, redstone left and right of it.

    Store in a chest

    Advanced Circuit stacks to 64 and is consumed in many late-game IC2 recipes, so keep at least one stack on hand.

Tip

Use a Macerator on Glowstone blocks to double dust output; one block becomes 4 dust instead of 2-4.
