Description
The Electric Jetpack is a rechargeable flying armor item from Industrial Craft 2, a simpler and more easily recharged version of the conventional Jetpack. Holding down the jump key makes the player climb to roughly 185 blocks above the bedrock layer, while the fuel-burning Jetpack reaches about 245 blocks. Pressing the M key mid-flight toggles Hover Mode, in which the Electric Jetpack ascends slowly and automatically slows the player's fall to a comparable speed — the conventional Jetpack cannot ascend in Hover Mode at all.
A full charge in a CESU, MFE or MFSU energy storage unit costs 30,000 EU and keeps the Electric Jetpack airborne for about 215 seconds in normal mode or about 375 seconds in Hover Mode, against roughly 60 seconds for the fuel-burning Jetpack. Crafting one Electric Jetpack takes four Iron Casings, one Advanced Circuit, one BatBox and two Glowstone Dust on a crafting table. One Electric Jetpack also appears in the Quantum Chestplate recipe, and the Industrial Craft 2 wiki recommends wearing Rubber Boots while flying any Jetpack.

Charge the pack with 30,000 EU
Put the Electric Jetpack into a CESU, MFE or MFSU and wait until 30,000 EU fills the pack for a complete charge.

Lift off with the jump key
Hold down the jump key and the Electric Jetpack will carry the player upward to roughly 185 blocks above the bedrock layer.

Switch on Hover Mode
Press the M key while holding the jump key to toggle Hover Mode; the Electric Jetpack then climbs slowly and brakes the descent automatically to a similar speed.
Landing safety
The Industrial Craft 2 wiki recommends wearing Rubber Boots while flying any Jetpack, and the Electric Jetpack keeps full thrust until its charge is completely drained.
