How to Make Quantum Chestplate in Minecraft

Quantum Chestplate is the top-tier electric chestpiece from IndustrialCraft 2 Experimental, storing 10,000,000 EU and absorbing a large share of incoming damage while charged — total damage protection arrives with the full QuantumSuit set. Quantum Chestplate sits at Tier 4 (Extreme Voltage, EV), accepts up to 2048 EU/t, and can only be charged in an MFSU; an MFE or BatBox cannot charge it at all. Crafting Quantum Chestplate on a standard 3x3 bench takes Alloy, a Nano Chestplate, and Alloy across the top row, Iridium, a Lapotron Crystal, and Iridium across the middle, and Iridium, an Electric Jetpack, and Iridium along the bottom — 2 Alloy, 4 Iridium, 1 Nano Chestplate, 1 Lapotron Crystal, and 1 Electric Jetpack in total.
While charged, Quantum Chestplate keeps the wearer from catching fire and drains EU proportional to the damage it absorbs; with the full QuantumSuit set — Quantum Helmet, Quantum Chestplate, Quantum Leggings, Quantum Boots — lava damage drops to zero. The Electric Jetpack from the recipe is integrated into the chestpiece: jetpack and hover modes are toggled with IC2 mode key combos (default mode key M). When the charge runs out, the EU absorption stops and Quantum Chestplate must be recharged. Quantum Chestplate is endgame-only: Iridium is rare and mostly replicated from UU-Matter (rare iridium shards found while exploring help too), and the Lapotron Crystal is built around an Energy Crystal. It is not obtainable in vanilla Minecraft and is supported on Forge 1.7.10, 1.10.2, 1.11.2, and 1.12.2.
