Quantum Chestplate is the endgame IC2 chestpiece storing 10,000,000 EU and absorbing nearly all incoming damage while charged.
Guide
Craft a Nano-Bodyarmor, 5 Iridium Reinforced Plates, and a Lapotron Crystal. Iridium Ore is rare and usually produced through UU-Matter in a Mass Fabricator.
Open a standard 3x3 crafting bench. Place the Nano-Bodyarmor in the center, 5 Iridium Reinforced Plates around it in a U-shape, and a Lapotron Crystal on the top-center slot.
Quantum Chestplate is Tier 4 (EV), so insert it into an MFSU at up to 2048 EU/t. An MFE or BatBox is too slow and may damage lower-tier wiring.
Wear the Quantum Chestplate. Press the IC2 mode key (default M) to toggle jetpack/hover where supported. While charged it grants Hazmat-style immunity to fire and lava DoT.
Each absorbed hit drains EU proportional to damage. Recharge in an MFSU when EU gets low, or carry a spare Lapotron Crystal in your hotbar.
Pair Quantum Chestplate with Quantum Leggings for full mobility — sprint speed plus hover jetpack creates the strongest movement combo in IC2 Experimental.
Quantum Chestplate stores 10,000,000 EU and is a Tier 4 (Extreme Voltage) item accepting up to 2048 EU/t input.
Charge Quantum Chestplate in an MFSU. An MFE or BatBox is below Tier 4 and will charge it very slowly.
Craft Quantum Chestplate from a Nano-Bodyarmor core, 5 Iridium Reinforced Plates around it in a U-shape, and a Lapotron Crystal on top in a 3x3 bench.
Yes — while it has EU, Quantum Chestplate grants Hazmat-style immunity to fire and lava damage over time.
No — Quantum Chestplate is an IndustrialCraft 2 Experimental item supported on Forge 1.7.10, 1.10.2, 1.11.2, and 1.12.2.
