Description

Quantum Helmet is the endgame head armor of Industrial Craft 2, the helmet piece of a four-part QuantumSuit completed by the Quantum Chestplate, Quantum Leggings and Quantum Boots. One shaped 3x3 recipe turns two Reinforced Glass, two Advanced Circuit, two Iridium, one Nano Helmet, one Lapotron Crystal and one Hazmat Helmet into a single Quantum Helmet — extremely powerful and, with two Iridium on the bill, extremely expensive. The Quantum Helmet cannot be enchanted, so every advantage comes from the built-in EU-powered effects.

Powered by its EU reserve, the Quantum Helmet refills the underwater breath bar for 1,000 EU, replenishes the food bar for 10,000 EU per hunger point while food cans sit in the inventory, cures poison for 10,000 EU per level, cures wither for 25,000 EU per level and lends the Nightvision Goggles night-vision ability for 25,000 EU. A 10 million EU reserve at Power Tier 4 keeps those effects running, and only an MFSU or an MFSU Chargepad can recharge the Quantum Helmet — the CESU, MFE and BatBox chargers sit below the required tier. Combat drains every QuantumSuit part by at least 900 EU per hit, and a Quantum Helmet refilling hunger on an empty food bar burns its 10 million EU faster than any other suit piece, so keep food at hand.

Guide

How to craft the Quantum Helmet in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Collect the eight components

Gather two Reinforced Glass, two Advanced Circuit, two Iridium, one Nano Helmet, one Lapotron Crystal and one Hazmat Helmet for the shaped 3x3 recipe.

  2. 2

    Lay out the crafting grid

Place Reinforced Glass, Nano Helmet and Reinforced Glass across the top row, Iridium, Lapotron Crystal and Iridium across the middle row, then Advanced Circuit, Hazmat Helmet and Advanced Circuit across the bottom row.

  3. 3

    Charge in an MFSU

Quantum Helmet stores 10 million EU at Power Tier 4, so charge the helmet in an MFSU or an MFSU Chargepad — CESU, MFE and BatBox chargers are too low-tier.

  4. 4

    Keep food cans stocked

Carry food cans in the inventory so the Quantum Helmet can refill the food bar at 10,000 EU per hunger point.

An empty food bar burns EU fast

A Quantum Helmet working on an empty food bar burns through 10 million EU faster than every other QuantumSuit part; eat regularly or pack a second Quantum Helmet.
