Description
Birch Planks are crafted from Birch Logs — four planks per log on the crafting grid, just like every other wood family in Minecraft. They share the same hardness, blast resistance, and flammability as oak, spruce, and jungle planks, so the choice between them is purely aesthetic. Birch Planks have a distinct pale, almost cream-coloured texture with subtle horizontal grain, which makes them stand out against the warmer tones of oak or the dark hues of spruce.
Like all planks, they serve as the foundation of countless recipes: crafting tables, doors, fences, signs, ladders, bowls, sticks, boats, and chests all start here. They burn in fire and lava and can be used as fuel in a furnace, smelting one and a half items per plank. For builders, Birch Planks are a staple choice for bright Nordic-style cabins, modern interiors that need a clean look, and any structure that should feel airy without painting glass.
