Description
Right-clicking or a redstone signal toggles Birch Trapdoor between closed and open, supporting uses as a floor access, mob deterrent, decorative window shutter, or secret passage cover in survival builds. A water source can share a block space with a closed Birch Trapdoor without breaking the hatch, which is useful in flooded ports and decorative fountains. Added in Java Edition 1.13 (snapshot 17w47a) and Bedrock Edition 1.4.0, Birch Trapdoor is renewable, stacks to 64, and is transparent, so light and mobs pass through the open square.
