Birch Log
Birch Log is instantly recognizable by its white bark with horizontal black streaks — a Nordic visual signature.

Description
Birch Log generates in birch forest, old-growth birch forest, and as a minority species in regular forest biomes. The bark is the most visually distinctive of any tree — pure white with rough horizontal black streaks, a pattern that reads from a great distance and has made birch a default choice for builders who want immediate contrast against green grass and blue sky.
Unlike oak, birch trees grow uniformly: a single sapling always produces a straight trunk five to seven blocks tall, with no branching variant. This predictability makes them ideal for orderly tree farms — every harvest yields about the same number of logs. The block strips with an axe to expose a clean cream-coloured interior, smelts to charcoal in a furnace, and converts to four birch planks per log on the crafting grid. Four logs in a 2×2 produce birch wood, a six-sided bark block useful for decorative pillars.
