Rectification Section — Minecraft block

Rectification Section

Description

Rectification Section is a passive upgrade block for the Distillation Column, the first multiblock machine of the Ala Industrial mod for Minecraft 26.2. Place the section directly on top of an assembled three-block tower and the column grows to four blocks: every distillation of 1000 mB of crude oil then returns 750 mB of diesel and 200 mB of fuel oil instead of 700 mB and 200 mB. Those extra 50 mB of diesel per operation cut fractionation losses from 10% to 5%, which lifts the net energy of a bucket of oil from 8,200 EU to 8,800 EU once pumping and the flat 400 EU distillation cost are paid. The section has no ports and no menu of its own — it is a purely structural block that the column recognizes the moment it appears on the summit.

Rectification Section is crafted from four Iron Plates and four Copper Plates laid out as an alternating frame around an empty centre, and it works identically on Fabric and NeoForge. The block drops itself when broken, so the upgrade can be moved to another tower at any time: remove the Rectification Section and the column simply returns to its base 700 mB yield without stopping. Energy still arrives only through the base at 2 EU/t, a cold column still warms up for 200 ticks (about 10 seconds), and the working steam moves up to the section itself, so a running refinery is readable from afar. In a continuous oil loop the extra diesel costs not a single extra EU, which makes the Rectification Section one of the cleanest efficiency upgrades of the LV tier.

How to use the Rectification Section in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Assemble the Distillation Column

Stack three column segments vertically. The tower snaps together on its own, and the lowest block becomes the base that accepts crude oil and energy.

  2. 2

    Craft the Rectification Section

Lay four Iron Plates and four Copper Plates in a crafting grid as an alternating frame around an empty centre cell; the recipe yields one section.

  3. 3

    Place it on the summit

Put the Rectification Section directly on the top block of the assembled tower. The column immediately grows to four blocks and starts applying the bonus.

  4. 4

    Run oil through the tower

Pump 1000 mB of crude oil into the middle tank and power the base at 2 EU/t. Every 400 EU operation now outputs 750 mB of diesel plus 200 mB of fuel oil.

  5. 5

    Relocate the upgrade freely

Break the section to collect it as an item and place it on any other column. The bonus follows the block, and the tower keeps working at base yields without it.

Yields only

The Rectification Section changes output volumes only: the warm-up time, the 400 EU operation cost and the 2 EU/t draw of the Distillation Column stay exactly the same.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Rectification Section do in Ala Industrial?

Placed on top of an assembled Distillation Column, it raises the diesel yield of every oil run from 700 mB to 750 mB per 1000 mB of crude oil, cutting losses from 10% to 5%.

How is the Rectification Section crafted?

Combine four Iron Plates and four Copper Plates in a crafting grid, alternating them as a frame around an empty centre cell. The recipe produces one section.

Where exactly does the section go?

Directly on the top block of a fully assembled three-block Distillation Column. The tower becomes four blocks tall and the bonus applies immediately, with no wiring or menus.

Does the Rectification Section consume energy?

No. The section is a passive structural block; the column keeps drawing its 2 EU/t through the base, and the bonus diesel needs no additional EU.

What happens when the section is broken?

The Rectification Section drops itself as an item and the column instantly falls back to the base yield of 700 mB of diesel per run. Re-placing the block restores the bonus.

Is the Rectification Section worth building?

Yes. The net energy per bucket of oil rises from 8,200 EU to 8,800 EU while the distillation cost stays at 400 EU, so a busy refinery recovers the plates quickly.
