Reactor Glass
Reactor Glass is the see-through wall of a reactor room in Ala Industrial: the room scanner counts glass as full shell, capped at 30 % of the shell cells.
Description
The recipe is one Shielding Plate in the centre of a crafting table ringed by eight colourless glass blocks, and one craft yields eight Reactor Glass — 0.125 of a plate per block against 0.25 for Reactor Casing, half the palladium per window cell. That discount is exactly why the share cap exists: without the cap a glass box would be the cheapest shell, and a window would stop being a window. Reactor Glass is not a weak spot either: hardness 5.0 and blast resistance 30.0 match the casing, a pickaxe is required for the drop, and light passes through, so the water and steam levels of the Reactor Column stay readable from outside. Ala Industrial runs on Fabric and NeoForge, and Reactor Glass itself is passive — no energy buffer, no cables, no tier.

How to build a window into a reactor room

Craft the glass
Place one Shielding Plate in the centre of a crafting table and surround the plate with eight colourless glass blocks; a single craft yields eight Reactor Glass.

Mark out the window
Build the shell from Reactor Casing first and choose which cells of which face become the window: walls, floor and ceiling all accept glass.

Swap casing for glass
Replace the chosen casing cells with Reactor Glass on any face of the room; edges and corners count as wall exactly like the middle of a face.

Keep the share under 30 %
Count glass cells against every cell of the shell: the smallest room has 98 cells and a budget of 29 panes, so one solid 5×5 face fits and two do not.

Confirm the room with the controller
Place or re-check the Reactor Controller: the glass share is the last check of the scan, and a passing scan seals the reactor room.
Vanilla Glass in a shell cell reads as a breach, not as wall, so a knocked-out pane must go back before the scan passes; the cap exists because glass costs half the palladium of casing.

What happens if glass covers more than 30 % of the shell?
The Reactor Controller refuses to form the room and reports a too-much-glass fault with the first glass cell of the scan, so the fix is swapping panes back into Reactor Casing until the share fits.
Does vanilla glass work in a reactor shell?
No. The scanner counts vanilla Glass as a breach, like any foreign block, so the window must be Reactor Glass cut from the same shielding alloy as the casing.
Is a glass window the weak spot of the room?
No. Reactor Glass matches Reactor Casing at hardness 5.0 and blast resistance 30.0, and a pickaxe is required for the block to drop.
Where in the shell may glass go?
Into any cell of any face: walls, floor, ceiling, edges, corners. Unlike the airlock door (at least one) and the controller (exactly one), glass is bound to no particular cell — the only rule is the 30 % share.
Does Reactor Glass consume energy?
No. Reactor Glass is a passive block with no EU buffer and no cable connections; light passes through, which is the whole point of the window.
