Insulated Gold Cable is the rubber-sheathed MV power line in Ala Industrial that carries the same 48 EU/tick throughput and 128 EU/packet cap as a bare Gold Cable, but halves energy loss from 0.03 to 0.015 per block and removes contact shock entirely. It is the only medium-voltage wire in the mod that is safe to touch, which makes it the default choice for wiring inside a base once the oil, sulfur, and Vulcanizer chain is running. A full 48 EU/tick segment delivers 42 EU over 10 blocks and 36 EU over 20 blocks — roughly double what bare gold manages at the same distances. The rubber sheath keeps players safe even at maximum flow, unlike bare gold which deals 6 damage (half-hearts) on contact versus only 2 for a low-voltage line.

You craft Insulated Gold Cable on a crafting table from six bare Gold Cables and three Rubber, yielding six insulated cables at a cost of half a Rubber each.
