Description

Light Blue Dye is obtained by crafting one blue orchid into two dyes or by combining one blue dye with one white dye. Blue orchids naturally generate in swamp biomes, so the flower recipe gives twice the output of the mixed-dye recipe. Light Blue Dye is an item rather than a placeable block, and its pale cyan-blue color is distinct from the darker Blue Dye and the greener Cyan Dye.

Light Blue Dye colors sheep, wool, carpets, beds, candles, banners, stained glass, stained glass panes, terracotta, shulker boxes, concrete powder, and several other dyeable materials. Applying Light Blue Dye to a sheep before shearing produces light blue wool repeatedly as the fleece regrows, which saves dye in large wool projects. Builders can pair the color with white blocks for clouds and ice themes or with dark blue blocks for ocean gradients.
