Light Blue Shulker Box is a dyed storage block that carries its entire inventory inside the dropped item when broken. The recipe combines any Shulker Box with one light blue dye in the crafting grid, and stored items survive the dyeing. A plain Shulker Box starts from two Shulker Shells in the top and bottom cells of the middle column around one chest. Inside, the Light Blue Shulker Box holds 27 inventory slots — the same capacity as a single chest or a barrel. A pickaxe breaks the placed box most effectively, though any tool or a bare hand also works, and the mined Light Blue Shulker Box drops itself with every stored stack inside.
A broken Light Blue Shulker Box never scatters its cargo: the box falls as one item holding all contents, and players get everything back by placing the box again. Explosions follow the same rule — a shulker box destroyed by a blast always drops itself with its contents. A hopper can fill or empty a placed Light Blue Shulker Box like any other container. A water-filled cauldron removes the dye: using the Light Blue Shulker Box on the cauldron lowers the water level by 1 and returns a plain Shulker Box. Shulker boxes have existed in Minecraft since Java 1.11 and Bedrock 1.1.0, and every shulker box is a renewable resource (new shells can be farmed, so the supply never runs out).
