Gold Cable
Gold Cable is the first MV-tier energy wire in Ala Industrial, carrying 48 EU/tick across a 128 EU/packet ceiling for short high-power lines.
Description
The trade-off for that width is higher attenuation: Gold Cable loses 0.03 of the remaining energy per block traversed, worse than the Copper Cable at 0.02. At a 48 EU/tick flow, 36 EU arrives over a 10-block run and only 11 EU over 50 blocks, following the formula max(1, ceil(flow x 0.97^distance)). A bare Gold Cable also deals a 6-damage contact shock within 0.5 blocks of any segment that is actively carrying energy, so players should insulate the line. Wrapping six bare cables with three rubber in a 3x3 grid yields six insulated segments that halve the loss to 0.015 and remove the shock entirely. Gold Cable works identically on Fabric and NeoForge.

How to craft and use Gold Cable in Minecraft
-
1
Gather gold ingots
Collect at least three gold ingots from smelting raw gold, piglin bartering, or zombified piglin drops. Each craft yields three cable segments.
-
2
Craft the bare cables
Place three gold ingots in a horizontal row in any crafting grid to produce three bare Gold Cable segments for your MV energy network.
-
3
Connect MV-tier machines
Run the cable between MV devices such as the Assembler or CESU. Each segment carries up to 48 EU per tick at a 128 EU packet ceiling.
-
4
Keep runs short
Gold Cable loses 0.03 of the energy per block. Over a 10-block run, only 36 EU of a 48 EU/tick flow arrives at the consumer, so keep the line compact.
-
5
Insulate for safety and efficiency
Wrap six bare cables with three rubber in a 3x3 grid to make six insulated segments. Insulation halves the loss to 0.015 and removes the 6-damage contact shock.
A bare Gold Cable deals 6 damage within 0.5 blocks of any segment actively carrying energy. A solid block between the cable and the player blocks the shock, and insulating the cable removes the hazard entirely.

Frequently asked questions
How do you craft Gold Cable in Ala Industrial?
Place three gold ingots in a horizontal row in a crafting grid. The recipe yields three bare Gold Cable segments and works on both Fabric and NeoForge for Minecraft 26.2.
How much energy does Gold Cable carry?
Gold Cable carries up to 48 EU per tick and supports a 128 EU/packet ceiling, making it the first MV-tier wire in Ala Industrial — four times the throughput of a Copper Cable.
Does bare Gold Cable damage the player?
Yes. An energized bare segment deals 6 damage within 0.5 blocks. A disconnected line is safe, and insulating the cable with rubber removes the hazard entirely.
Should I use Gold Cable for long-distance power?
Gold Cable loses 0.03 of the energy per block, more than Copper Cable's 0.02, so it is best for short high-power runs. For long distances, Copper Cable or Tin Cable lose less per block.
Is there an insulated version of Gold Cable?
Yes. Wrap six bare Gold Cables with three rubber in a 3x3 crafting grid to produce six insulated segments. Insulation halves the loss to 0.015 per block and eliminates contact shock.
