Copper is one of the most used metals in Industrial Craft 2, present directly or as a subcomponent in nearly every mod item. Copper Ore generates between layers 10 and 70 in groups of up to 10 blocks and yields to a stone pickaxe or better. Ore processing turns raw ore into crushed ore, purified crushed ore, and dust, and every pre-ingot form except the smallest smelts into an ingot. Smelting anything except dust wastes resources, so crush and purify the raw ore first. Nine Small Copper merge into one on the crafting grid. A metal block packs 9 Copper and unpacks into 9 again. A Forge Hammer doubles 1 Copper into 2.
