Description

The Vulcanizer from the Ala Industrial mod finishes the oil chain in Minecraft 26.2: one batch of 1 raw rubber and 4 sulfur dust cures into rubber in 200 ticks (about 10 seconds). A single operation costs 400 EU at 2 EU/t, drawn from an 800 EU internal buffer that accepts LV power up to 32 EU/t. The Vulcanizer runs only with a heat source in the block directly below — a lit campfire or soul campfire gives level ×1 (1 rubber), lava, a lava cauldron, or a magma block gives ×2 (2 rubber), and an Electric Heater gives ×3 (3 rubber). Every heat level consumes the same 1 raw rubber + 4 sulfur dust, so upgrading the heat source is the main way to stretch a limited sulfur supply.

The Vulcanizer is crafted on a crafting table from 2 sulfur dust, 5 iron ingots, 1 machine casing, and 1 electronic circuit. Raw rubber arrives from the Polymerizer, which makes the Vulcanizer the final machine of the mod's rubber chain. Hoppers feed both input slots from the top face and pull rubber from the side faces; the bottom face is reserved for heat and accepts no item automation. While working, the Vulcanizer lights up at light level 13 and puffs steam, and swapping or removing the heat source mid-operation safely restarts progress without consuming ingredients. Mine the Vulcanizer with a pickaxe (hardness 3, blast resistance 6) — breaking drops the block and its full inventory.

Guide

How to use the Vulcanizer in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Craft the Vulcanizer

Arrange 2 sulfur dust, 5 iron ingots, 1 machine casing, and 1 electronic circuit in the SIS / IMI / IEI pattern on a crafting table.

  2. 2

    Place a heat source below

Put a lit campfire or soul campfire (×1), lava, a lava cauldron or a magma block (×2), or an Electric Heater (×3) in the block directly under the Vulcanizer.

  3. 3

    Connect LV power

Run any LV cable to the machine's side: the 800 EU buffer accepts up to 32 EU/t, and each operation spends 400 EU at 2 EU/t.

  4. 4

    Load the inputs

Place 1 raw rubber in the left slot and 4 sulfur dust in the right slot — by hand or through hoppers pushing into the top face.

  5. 5

    Collect the rubber

After 200 ticks (about 10 seconds) take 1–3 rubber from the output slot; hoppers extract it from the side faces automatically.

Heat pays for itself

Every level consumes the same 1 raw rubber + 4 sulfur dust, so an Electric Heater triples the yield for identical ingredients. The Electric Heater draws its own 2 EU/t, and only while the Vulcanizer above is actually advancing.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Vulcanizer do in Ala Industrial?

The Vulcanizer converts 1 raw rubber and 4 sulfur dust into rubber — the final step of the mod's oil chain. Each batch costs 400 EU and needs a heat source directly below the machine.

How do I get 3 rubber from one batch?

Place the Vulcanizer on top of an Electric Heater: heat level ×3 triples the output to 3 rubber while the batch still costs 1 raw rubber and 4 sulfur dust.

How much energy does the Vulcanizer use?

One operation costs 400 EU at 2 EU/t and takes 200 ticks (about 10 seconds). The internal buffer holds 800 EU and accepts LV input up to 32 EU/t.

How is the Vulcanizer crafted?

On a crafting table with 2 sulfur dust, 5 iron ingots, 1 machine casing, and 1 electronic circuit in the SIS / IMI / IEI pattern.

Does the Vulcanizer work with hoppers?

Yes. Hoppers feed both input slots from the top face and pull rubber from the side faces; the bottom face is reserved for the heat source and cannot be automated.

What happens if I remove the heat source mid-operation?

The Vulcanizer safely restarts the operation with the current heat level and never consumes ingredients early — but swapping heat on the last tick cannot upgrade an almost finished batch.
