The Tempered Iron Plate is a flat crafting component pressed from a single Tempered Iron ingot in the Ala Industrial mod for Minecraft 26.2 (Java Edition, playable on Fabric and NeoForge). It is one of the mod's eight metal plates — and the only one that cannot be ground back into dust, because tempered iron has no dust form and the Macerator simply has no recipe for it. You get the plate three ways: hammer a Tempered Iron ingot with the Forge Hammer on a crafting table (the hammer stays in the grid, losing exactly 1 of its 128 durability — roughly 128 plates per hammer, repaired with iron ingots), press the ingot in the Compressor for 260 EU, or unpack a Tempered Iron Plate Block back into 4 plates. The plate itself stores no energy; it is a pure ingredient, like vanilla iron.

The Tempered Iron Plate's real job is upgrading kinetic generators. Three plates turn a wooden windmill rotor into a Reinforced Windmill Rotor (output ×1.25, 1 800 000 EU over its lifetime), and two more plates plus an Electronic Circuit raise it to the electronic tier (×1.50, 4 320 000 EU). Water follows the same pattern: three plates reinforce a water mill wheel (×1.25, 1 200 000 EU), and two plates help build the electronic wheel (×1.50, 2 880 000 EU). Four plates also craft into a Tempered Iron Plate Block, reversible back into exactly 4 plates. Note that tempered iron tools and armor are made from ingots, not plates — the Tempered Iron Plate is strictly a machine and construction material.
