Kok-Sagyz Seeds
Kok-Sagyz Seeds plant Ala Industrial's rubber dandelion: the two-block root regrows after every dig and feeds the Macerator with renewable raw rubber forever.
Description
Planted Kok-Sagyz Seeds grow by random ticks at light level 9 or above: rosette, bud, yellow flower and seed head take about 6.8 minutes on average, and the root column then reaches two blocks down in another 17.1 minutes. The harvest rule is to dig the root tip and never the flower — the tip pays one Kok-Sagyz Root plus a 35% seed chance, the plant survives, and the tip regrows in about 10.2 minutes, which sustains roughly six roots per hour per plant on ordinary ground and eight in sand. Two Kok-Sagyz Roots macerate into one Raw Rubber and one Inulin for 300 EU, and the Vulcanizer turns Raw Rubber with sulfur into Rubber for another 400 EU, so the whole 700 EU farming route costs roughly 2.5 times less energy than the 1800 EU oil chain. Kok-Sagyz Seeds work the same on Fabric and NeoForge.

Guide
How to farm rubber from Kok-Sagyz Seeds
-
1
Find wild kok-sagyz
Explore newly generated chunks in savanna, meadow and windswept hill biomes: roughly one chunk in 48 carries three ripe dandelions. Break a flower for a 35% chance of Kok-Sagyz Seeds — the wild roots are already grown, so the first find is a working column.
-
2
Plant on any single block
Place Kok-Sagyz Seeds on grass, dirt, podzol, mycelium, farmland or sand — one block of soil is enough, no pit needed, the root adapts. Growth runs on random ticks at light level 9 or higher, and tilling the ground changes nothing.
-
3
Wait out the averages
The flower passes rosette, bud and yellow flower in about 6.8 minutes on average, then the root grows two blocks down over another 17.1 minutes. In sand every step takes 75% of the usual time, and a column sunk in sand keeps that speed all the way down.
-
4
Dig the tip, keep the flower
Dig only the lowest root block: the tip drops one Kok-Sagyz Root plus a 35% seed chance, the plant survives, and a new tip regrows in about 10.2 minutes. Breaking the flower is the one way to kill kok-sagyz, so leave the flower standing.

5
Macerate roots into rubber
Feed two Kok-Sagyz Roots into the Macerator for one Raw Rubber and one Inulin at 300 EU, then combine Raw Rubber with sulfur in the Vulcanizer into Rubber for 400 EU. One planted seed sustains about six roots per hour on ordinary ground and eight in sand.
A Garden Drone Station cuts ripe flowers, banks the Kok-Sagyz Seeds and replants them even on untilled ground, turning a patch into a self-running seed farm whose roots stay yours. Bone meal and a Sprinkler each buy exactly one growth step — a stage or one block of root.

Frequently asked questions
Where do Kok-Sagyz Seeds come from?
Every harvest pays them: breaking the flower, digging the upper root block or digging the tip each carries a 35% chance of seeds, and the tip also drops one Kok-Sagyz Root. No crafting recipe exists, so one found seed is enough to start a plantation that then feeds itself.
Do Kok-Sagyz Seeds need farmland or water?
Neither. Kok-Sagyz Seeds grow at the same rate on grass, dirt, podzol, mycelium, farmland or any single block of soil, and hydration rules do not apply. Only sand and red sand are faster, cutting each growth step to 75% of the usual time.
Why does a field of Kok-Sagyz Seeds ripen unevenly?
Growth runs on random ticks: at the default randomTickSpeed a block is ticked about once every 68 seconds, so waits follow a geometric spread — on the cheapest step a tenth of plants advances within 7 seconds while another tenth needs over 157. All published times are averages, not timers.
Does harvesting the root kill the plant?
No. Digging the root tip leaves the flower alive, restores the original ground and starts a new tip that is ready in about 10.2 minutes on ordinary ground, 7.7 in sand. Breaking the flower is the only way to kill kok-sagyz, and even that death leaves the root diggable.
Why did my kok-sagyz plant step back a growth stage?
Jumping or falling onto the flower from above tramples it back one stage — from seed head to flower, and never below the rosette. Walking through the field and sneaking never trample, and the root below the flower keeps its depth the whole time.
What makes Kok-Sagyz Seeds worth farming?
Rubber without an oil well: two roots macerate into Raw Rubber and Inulin for 300 EU, the Vulcanizer adds 400 EU, and the whole 700 EU route costs roughly 2.5 times less energy than the 1800 EU oil chain — the LV-era renewable entry into cable insulation and circuits.
