Wind Mill is the altitude-driven power generator from Industrial Craft 2 that turns weather and height into 0-11 EU/t of clean energy. Craft one from four iron ingots arranged around a single IC2 Generator, and the Wind Mill starts outputting Energy Units the moment a copper cable connects it to a storage unit like the BatBox or MFE. Wind Mill output follows a strict formula: every block of altitude above Y=64 adds power, every block cluttering the 9x9x7 area around the rotor steals power, and weather multiplies the total by 1.2 in rain and 1.5 in a thunderstorm. Wind Mill rewards careful placement far above the ground or sea level, away from walls, ceilings, and solar panel arrays. The same volatility that boosts Wind Mill output during storms also risks a violent explosion: pushing output past roughly 5 EU/t during a thunderstorm is the classic way to lose the machine and its cable. A tin or copper cable feeding a BatBox is the standard companion setup, and the resulting 3-5 EU/t power source is cheaper to maintain than a nuclear reactor and more consistent at night than Solar Panels.
