Description
MFE is the tier 3 EU storage block of IndustrialCraft 2, holding 4,000,000 EU and moving up to 512 EU/t (energy units per game tick) through a single output face. On placement, the output face — the one marked with a dot — points toward the player, and the five remaining faces accept input. A packet above 512 EU/t detonates MFE on arrival, so a higher-voltage source needs a transformer of the right tier in front of the block. For scale, the BatBox stores 40K EU at tier 1, the CESU 300K EU at tier 2, and the MFSU 40M EU at tier 4, which leaves MFE as the workhorse of a mid-game IC2 power grid.
The MFE interface charges tools and batteries in the top slot, drains charged items into storage through the bottom slot, and exposes four armor slots for refilling a worn suit without undressing. A redstone button cycles seven output modes — from a complete stop of energy delivery to a signal when the storage fills — so MFE works as a buffer that banks power until the base needs it. A wrench on any face re-routes the output, and wrench-removal keeps only 80% of the stored EU, so drain MFE before moving it. Aim the dotted output face
Place the MFE so the face marked with a dot points at the cable or machine that should receive energy; the five other faces accept input.

Keep input packets at 512 EU/t or below
Feed the MFE only from matching-tier sources, and put a transformer between the block and any higher-voltage generator so no oversized packet arrives.

Charge gear in the GUI
Open the MFE, drop a discharged tool or battery into the top slot to charge it from storage, and use the four armor slots for worn equipment.

Refill storage from portable items
Put a charged battery or Energy Crystal into the bottom slot to pour its EU into the MFE without running any cable.

Choose a redstone output mode
Cycle the GUI button to a mode such as no energy output or emit-when-full so the MFE buffers power exactly when your base needs it.
