Description

Gold Cable is the tier 3 power line of Industrial Craft 2, built to carry High Voltage at up to 512 EU/t between machines. Players craft Gold Cable by combining 1 Gold with 1 Cutter on the crafting grid, which yields 4 cables at once. In Cable Efficiency terms, Gold Cable loses 0.4 EU every block, a higher distance-related loss than Copper Cable suffers. Gold Cable comes with 2 levels of insulation: 1 Gold Cable crafted with 1 Rubber gives the insulated version, and 2 Rubber gives the double-insulated version.

Gold Cable also works as an ingredient in 5 recipes of the mod. The double insulation provides no shock damage from high voltage. Choose Gold Cable when a line must move High Voltage at up to 512 EU/t, and budget for the 0.4 EU per block loss on every run.
