Extractor is the Industrial Craft 2 machine that turns one Resin into three Rubber for 800 EU per operation — triple the furnace yield.
Description
Besides rubber, the Extractor refines cells: Bio Cell into Biofuel Cell, Hydrated Coal Cell into Coalfuel Cell and Water Cell into Hydration Cell. The Extractor accepts at most 32 EU/t and explodes at higher voltage. Removing the Extractor calls for a Wrench, the standard tool of Industrial Craft 2 machines. For any base wired with cables, sending every drop of Resin through the Extractor instead of a furnace triples the rubber supply and shrinks the tree farm needed to insulate a power grid.

How to Use the Extractor in Industrial Craft 2

Craft the Extractor
Place four Treetaps in the corners of the top two rows of a crafting grid, add a Machine Block at the top center and an Electronic Circuit in the middle, and the Extractor is ready to collect.

Connect low-voltage power
Wire the Extractor to a power source of at most 32 EU/t with a cable, or insert a charged Re Battery into the battery slot of the interface.

Load Resin into the input slot
Drop Resin collected from rubber trees into the input slot; the Extractor spends 800 EU and 20 seconds turning one Resin into three Rubber.

Process the leftovers
Feed Rubber Wood and Rubber Sapling through the Extractor for one Rubber each, and refine Bio Cell, Hydrated Coal Cell or Water Cell into their upgraded versions.

Relocate with a Wrench
Remove the Extractor with a Wrench rather than a pickaxe when moving a base to another outpost.
Smelting one Resin in a furnace returns a single Rubber. Routing the same Resin through the Extractor returns three, so every rubber tree farmed supports cable production three times longer.
