How to Make Sticky Dynamite in Minecraft
Sticky Dynamite
Sticky Dynamite is a throwable Industrial Craft 2 explosive that sticks to walls before detonating (a hand-thrown charge, not a placed block).
Description
Plain Dynamite, the key ingredient, is a smaller throwable version of Industrial TNT with a high explosion-precision mechanism, and Dynamite inflicts less damage on players. The single Resin for the center cell comes from Rubber Wood logs: one tap of a Resin Hole yields one or more Resin, enough for a full batch of 8 Sticky Dynamite. Any blast that must land on a wall rather than on the ground is the job for Sticky Dynamite: the charge holds its position and detonates exactly where the throw hit.
Guide
How to Craft and Use Sticky Dynamite in Industrial Craft 2
-
1
Craft plain Dynamite
Combine 1 Industrial TNT and 1 String in a crafting grid; the shapeless recipe produces 8 Dynamite.
-
2
Collect one Resin
Right-click an orange Resin Hole on a Rubber Wood log with a Treetap; chopping Rubber Wood also drops Resin occasionally.
-
3
Fill the 3x3 grid
Place 8 Dynamite in every cell except the center, put the Resin in the middle, and pick up 8 Sticky Dynamite.
-
4
Throw the charge at a wall
Throw Sticky Dynamite at the target wall: the charge sticks in place instead of falling and detonates right where the throw landed.
Sticky Dynamite cannot be placed like a block, so skip the usual TNT placement routine and aim the throw instead.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Dynamite and Sticky Dynamite in Industrial Craft 2?
Plain Dynamite can be placed on a block and then detonated from a distance. Sticky Dynamite skips the setup: a thrown charge sticks to the wall it hits and detonates there.
How is Sticky Dynamite related to Industrial TNT?
Plain Dynamite is a smaller throwable version of Industrial TNT with a high explosion-precision mechanism. Sticky Dynamite is Dynamite combined with Resin, which makes the charge cling to walls.
Is the Resin needed for Sticky Dynamite renewable?
Yes. Resin Holes on Rubber Wood regenerate over time, chopping Rubber Wood occasionally drops Resin, and a larger rubber tree plantation makes gathering easier.
Can Sticky Dynamite be used as a crafting ingredient?
No. No crafting recipe uses Sticky Dynamite as an ingredient, so the charge is a finished explosive to throw.
