How to Make Dynamite in Minecraft
Dynamite
Dynamite is a throwable Industrial Craft 2 explosive — a smaller version of Industrial TNT with high explosion precision and reduced damage to players.
Description
Dynamite is also the crafting base for Dynamite Sticky, a variant that adheres to a wall when thrown and detonates there. The upgrade recipe puts 1 resin at the grid center, surrounds the resin with 8 Dynamite, and returns 8 Dynamite Sticky per craft. Several Remotes can be assigned to different sets of sticks, so multiple charge groups can be managed side by side. Dynamite suits players who want a small, precise blast instead of a full Industrial TNT explosion. Eight sticks cost just one Industrial TNT and one string.
Guide
How to Craft and Detonate Dynamite in Industrial Craft 2
-
1
Craft 8 Dynamite from one Industrial TNT
Combine 1 Industrial TNT and 1 string in the crafting grid; the recipe is shapeless (the two ingredients can sit in any cells), and one craft yields 8 sticks.
-
2
Throw Dynamite for a small blast
Throw a Dynamite stick at the block that needs removing; Dynamite delivers a smaller blast than Industrial TNT and inflicts less damage on players.
-
3
Attach Dynamite to a block
Place a Dynamite stick on the block marked for demolition, then hold a Remote and right-click the stick to prime the charge.
-
4
Detonate primed Dynamite with the Remote
Check for the lighter-colored cap that marks a primed stick, then right-click into the air while holding the Remote; right-clicking at a block does not detonate anything.
-
5
Upgrade spare sticks into Dynamite Sticky
Put 1 resin in the center of the crafting grid, surround the resin with 8 Dynamite, and collect 8 Dynamite Sticky; the sticky variant adheres to a wall when thrown and detonates there.
Several different Remotes can be assigned to different sets of Dynamite sticks, so separate charge groups stay under independent control.

Frequently asked questions
How much Dynamite does one craft produce?
One shapeless craft of 1 Industrial TNT and 1 string produces 8 Dynamite. A single Industrial TNT turns into eight separate throwable sticks.
Why does the Remote fail to detonate Dynamite?
The Remote detonates primed sticks only when the right-click aims into the air. Aiming at a block does nothing, and every stick must be primed first by right-clicking the charge with the Remote.
Does Dynamite deal as much damage as Industrial TNT?
Dynamite inflicts less damage on players, matching its role as the smaller, precision counterpart to Industrial TNT.
What is the difference between Dynamite and Dynamite Sticky?
Dynamite is thrown or attached to a block and detonated with a Remote. Dynamite Sticky is crafted from 8 charges plus 1 resin, sticks to a wall when thrown, and cannot be placed like a block.
