Charging Advanced RE-Battery is a tier 2 (medium-voltage) portable charger that holds 400,000 EU (energy units) and refills tools and packs in the hotbar.

Description

Charging Advanced RE-Battery is the second of four EU charging items in IndustrialCraft 2, a carried recharger that stores 400,000 EU and tops up other items by itself. Power tier 2 (MV, medium voltage) lets Charging Advanced RE-Battery refill every item of tier 2 or lower, including Advanced RE-Battery, Advanced Batpack and Diamond Drill, along with the tier 1 items that Charging RE-Battery serves. The capacity of 400,000 EU equals four Advanced RE-Batteries at 100,000 EU each.

Charging Advanced RE-Battery works from the inventory or the hotbar, but only items in the hotbar receive energy. A right-click toggles three modes: disabled stops all charging, charge items not in hand skips the held item, and enabled also charges the item in hand. Charging Advanced RE-Battery itself recharges in a CESU, MFE or MFSU, the storage blocks of tier 2 and higher. Charging Advanced RE-Battery suits players who carry several tier 2 tools and want them refilled without returning to a storage block.

How to use the Charging Advanced RE-Battery in Minecraft

    Craft the battery

    Four Heat Exchangers go in the corners of the 3×3 grid, four Advanced RE-Batteries on the edge slots, and one Charging RE-Battery in the center.

    Carry it

    Charging Advanced RE-Battery works from any inventory slot, while the items to charge sit in the hotbar.

    Pick a mode

    A right-click with Charging Advanced RE-Battery in hand switches between disabled, charge items not in hand and enabled.

    Refill the battery

    Charging Advanced RE-Battery recharges in a CESU, MFE or MFSU after its 400,000 EU run low.

Armor needs the hotbar

Equipped armor receives no energy, so an armor piece has to move to the hotbar before Charging Advanced RE-Battery can charge it.
