Description

Fluid Pipe is the passive fluid pipe of Ala Industrial that carries water, lava, oil and any other fluid between tanks, the pump and machines — one bucket per second, with no power cost. Lay a line of pipes, set the sides with a wrench, and Fluid Pipe keeps the liquid moving on its own: each segment holds 50 mB and hands it onward, so the fluid genuinely travels down the line instead of appearing at the far end. One segment carries one fluid at a time — while it holds water, lava will not enter, so two fluids cannot mix by accident. A pump feeds the line at about 32 mB per tick, so the pump stays the bottleneck and the pipe never slows the route down.

Fluid Pipe is crafted from 8 silver ingots around a block of glass and yields 8 pipes per recipe for Minecraft 26.2 on Fabric or NeoForge. Each side switches between four roles with a right-click of the wrench: EXTRACT draws from the neighbouring tank or machine, INSERT pours into it, NEUTRAL passes both ways, DISABLED closes the side — the role shows on the model itself, with an orange funnel for taking and a teal spout for giving. The glass is functional: the fluid shows through the casing in its own colour — water blue, lava orange, oil black. Fluid Pipe also speaks the common fluid interface of tanks and machines from other mods, and breaking a segment loses only its 50 mB, with no spill to clean up.

How to set up a Fluid Pipe line in Ala Industrial

  1. 1

    Craft the pipes

Surround one glass block with 8 silver ingots in a crafting grid: the recipe yields 8 Fluid Pipes at once, enough for a first tank-to-tank run.

  2. 2

    Lay the line

Place Fluid Pipe segments in an unbroken line from the source tank or pump to the destination. Pipes connect to each other automatically; where two pipes meet, the wrench only toggles the joint between joined and cut.

  3. 3

    Set EXTRACT and INSERT sides

Right-click the side facing the source tank with the wrench until the orange funnel (EXTRACT) appears, and the side facing the destination until the teal spout (INSERT). NEUTRAL passes both ways, DISABLED closes a side.

  4. 4

    Watch the fluid travel

Fluid moves at 50 mB per tick — one bucket per second — and the front is visible through the glass as the line fills. No power is needed anywhere; a pump-fed line is limited by the pump's 32 mB per tick, not by the pipe.

Moving, not storing

Fluid Pipe moves fluid, it does not store it: one segment holds 50 mB and a single fluid at a time. Use a tank for storage; breaking a segment loses its small contents with no spill.

Frequently asked questions

How fast does Fluid Pipe move fluid?

One bucket per second: each segment passes 50 mB per tick, which is 1000 mB across the 20 ticks of a Minecraft second.

Does Fluid Pipe need energy?

No. The pipe is completely passive — no EU, no fuel. Only the pump that feeds a line from the world uses power (1000 EU per bucket).

How do you craft Fluid Pipe?

Place 8 silver ingots around one glass block in a crafting grid. The recipe yields 8 pipes, and the glass doubles as the window that shows the fluid inside.

Can a Fluid Pipe carry two fluids at once?

No. A segment accepts a single fluid at a time; while it holds water, lava cannot enter, so fluids never mix inside a line.

What happens when you break a Fluid Pipe?

The 50 mB inside that segment vanish — less than half a bucket — and nothing spills on the ground. The rest of the line keeps operating.

Does Fluid Pipe work with tanks from other mods?

Yes. The pipe uses the standard fluid interface on both Fabric and NeoForge, so a foreign tank is just another neighbour to it.
