Description

Diesel is the light fraction of oil distillation — the part of crude that boils off first — and the target product of the Distillation Column in the Ala Industrial mod. One run splits 1 000 mB of crude Oil into 700 mB of Diesel plus 200 mB of Fuel Oil for 400 EU, so seven tenths of every barrel leave the tower as golden-yellow fuel. Diesel never generates in the world: the column is its only source. Unlike Oil, the fluid behaves exactly like water — it spreads, never catches fire, does not slow movement and does not drown the player.

Diesel is collected with an empty bucket, a capsule, or a Pump set against the yellow nozzle on the tower's top segment, which guards a 10 000 mB extract-only tank. Mounting the Rectification Section on top of the column raises the yield to 750 mB per run, and surplus Fuel Oil poured back into the input tank cracks into another 600 mB of Diesel per 1 000 mB. The fluid is not renewable: two placed sources never spawn a third, so the supply tracks the Oil in the ground. Diesel already carries the c:combustion_fuels tag shared with Fuel Oil and lava, and the planned liquid fuel generator will burn it at 12 EU/t — 12 000 EU from a single bucket.

How to get Diesel in Ala Industrial

  1. 1

    Assemble the Distillation Column

Craft the column segment and stack three of them — the 1×1×3 tower assembles itself, the bottom segment turning into the powered base. Feed the base 2 EU/t; the middle and top take no cable.

  2. 2

Feed Oil into the middle tank

Pump crude Oil — or carry it in buckets — into the black fill-only nozzle on the middle segment; the input tank holds 10 000 mB.

  3. 3

    Let the run finish

Each run converts 1 000 mB of Oil plus 400 EU into 700 mB of Diesel and 200 mB of Fuel Oil. Glowing windows and steam rising from the top mark a warmed-up working tower.

  4. 4

    Drain Diesel from the top

Point a Pump at the yellow extract-only nozzle on the top segment, or drop an empty bucket into the Diesel slot of the tower's interface — the top tank holds 10 000 mB.

  5. 5

    Raise the yield

Mount the Rectification Section onto the tower for +50 mB of Diesel per run (750 total), or crack surplus Fuel Oil back through the column for another 600 mB per bucket.

Not renewable

Diesel never appears in world generation and two placed sources never spawn a third — every drop in your tanks was distilled from Oil.

Frequently asked questions

Can you craft Diesel in Ala Industrial?

No. Diesel has no crafting-table recipe — it is produced only inside the Distillation Column, which splits Oil into Diesel and Fuel Oil, and by cracking Fuel Oil in the same column.

How much Diesel comes from one bucket of Oil?

1 000 mB of crude Oil yields 700 mB of Diesel plus 200 mB of Fuel Oil for 400 EU. With the Rectification Section mounted on top the yield grows to 750 mB, and cracking the Fuel Oil adds another 600 mB per bucket.

Does Diesel burn like Oil?

No. In the world Diesel behaves like water: it spreads without igniting, does not slow the player and does not drown anyone. Oil is the flammable one of the two.

Is Diesel renewable?

No. Diesel never generates naturally, no recipe creates it from nothing, and two placed source blocks never spawn a third — its supply tracks your finite Oil deposits.

What is Diesel used for?

Burning in the liquid fuel generator, planned as the next step of the mod's oil branch: 12 EU/t and 12 000 EU per bucket. Diesel already ships in the c:combustion_fuels tag alongside Fuel Oil and lava.

How do you collect and carry Diesel?

Scoop it with an empty bucket or a capsule, point a Pump at the yellow nozzle on the tower's top segment, or drop an empty bucket into the Diesel slot of the column interface.
