Description

Pump is an EU-powered LV machine in Ala Industrial that drains fluid sources from the world or draws from an adjacent tank into a 10-bucket internal tank and pushes the fluid on to a neighbouring receiver. A Pump spends 1000 EU on every bucket it moves, draws up to 32 EU per tick from the LV network, and banks energy in a 4000 EU buffer sized for roughly four buckets at once. The internal tank holds a single fluid at a time, so lava and water never mix. Pump finds a fluid source by following the flow from the block directly in front of it, searching up to 32 blocks and visiting at most 512 blocks per scan with a one-second cooldown between attempts. A drained source block is removed irrevocably, which lets Pump empty a lava lake to feed a Geothermal Generator automatically. Pump is crafted from four iron ingots, two buckets, and an Electronic Circuit, and it accepts any fluid container, the Ala Industrial vacuum capsule, or a foreign mod tank through the standard fluid interface on every face.

Guide

How to use Pump in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Craft the Pump

Place four iron ingots, two buckets, and an Electronic Circuit in a workbench in the Pump pattern to craft one Pump.

  2. 2

Face the Pump at a fluid source

Place the Pump so the front face points at a lava or water source block, since Pump draws fluid from the block directly in front of it.

  3. 3

    Connect LV power

Run an LV cable to one of the five working faces to feed Pump up to 32 EU per tick, leaving the front face free for fluid intake.

  4. 4

Point the output at a receiver

Set a receiver tank, such as the Geothermal Generator's tank, against a working face so Pump pushes the fluid there automatically.

  5. 5

    Let Pump drain the source

Pump searches up to 32 blocks along the flow, spends 1000 EU per bucket drawn, and removes each source block permanently until the lake is empty.

Single-fluid tank

The internal tank holds only one fluid at a time, so empty it before switching between lava and water.

Frequently asked questions

How much EU does Pump cost per bucket?

Pump spends 1000 EU on every bucket of fluid it moves, drawn from the LV network at up to 32 EU per tick and banked in a 4000 EU buffer.

How big is the Pump internal tank?

The Pump internal tank holds 10 buckets, equal to 10000 mB, and accepts a single fluid at a time so lava and water cannot mix.

How does Pump find a fluid source?

Pump follows the flow from the block directly in front of it, searching up to 32 blocks and visiting at most 512 blocks per scan with a one-second cooldown between attempts.

Can Pump drain a lava lake permanently?

Yes. Pump removes each pumped source block irrevocably, so a connected Pump can empty an entire lava lake to feed a Geothermal Generator automatically.

What is Pump crafted from?

Pump is crafted on a workbench from four iron ingots, two buckets, and an Electronic Circuit, reflecting the block's fluid-moving role and LV tier.

Does Pump work on Fabric and NeoForge?

Yes. Pump behaves identically on both loaders for Minecraft 26.2, with the same 10-bucket tank, 1000 EU per bucket cost, and 32 EU per tick LV limit.
