Fuel Rod is the only fuel the Ala Industrial reactor accepts: one rod holds exactly 144,000 EU and burns down to an empty, refillable cladding.
Description
The reactor layout changes how fast the Fuel Rod burns, never how much it holds: a lone Reactor Column drains one rod over 20 minutes at 6 EU/t, while a packed room runs at the 512 EU/t HV ceiling and eats 256 rods — 128 uranium ore — per hour. A burnt-out Fuel Rod becomes an empty cladding right in the rack, and one Enriched Uranium refills it, so the expensive palladium part is paid for once. Half-burnt rods come out with an empty hand and keep their charge, and 144,000 EU makes one Fuel Rod worth nine lava buckets in the Geothermal Generator. Ala Industrial runs on Minecraft 26.2 Java Edition with Fabric and NeoForge, and carried rods irradiate the holder — move Fuel Rods in a Shielding Chest.

How to make and load a Fuel Rod in Ala Industrial

Craft the cladding
Assemble a Fuel Rod Cladding on a full 3x3 grid from iron and a shielding plate of palladium and tempered iron. Palladium ore generates only in the Nether, so one trip there precedes the first rod.

Process the uranium
Run one Raw Uranium through the Macerator into two Uranium Dust, split each dust in the Thermal Centrifuge into two Uranium Concentrate, and press two concentrate in the Compressor into one Enriched Uranium.

Combine at any crafting table
Place the Fuel Rod Cladding and the Enriched Uranium in any cells of the grid — the recipe is shapeless and yields one Fuel Rod per pair.

Load the Reactor Column
Right-click a Reactor Column with the Fuel Rod in hand: the column holds up to four rods, and the Reactor Controller starts burning them as soon as the room is sealed.

Collect the cladding back
Right-click the column with an empty hand to pull a half-burnt Fuel Rod out with its charge intact; a fully burnt rod has already turned into an empty cladding waiting for the next Enriched Uranium.
Every Fuel Rod yields 144,000 EU no matter how the reactor is packed: adjacency makes rods burn faster, a lone column stretches them to 20 minutes. Carry spare rods in a Shielding Chest, because loose rods irradiate whoever holds them.

The Fuel Rod is a durability item: its bar carries the remaining charge in 1,000 points of 144 EU each, and such items always stack to one.
Is the Fuel Rod dangerous to carry?
Yes. Carried rods irradiate the player in proportion to how many are held, with no cap — carrying a pile of them is lethal. Transport Fuel Rods in a Shielding Chest, which blocks the radiation of its contents.
