Description

Tin Ore is the stone-hosted ore form of tin in Ala Industrial for Minecraft 26.2 — the most common of the mod's metals and usually the first one a new player meets. Tin veins generate in copper's height band between Y −16 and Y 64, with roughly twelve veins per chunk of up to eight blocks each; wherever a vein cuts through deepslate, the ore appears as the harder Deepslate Tin Ore instead. Tin Ore breaks with a stone pickaxe or better (wooden and golden pickaxes drop nothing) and drops one Raw Tin: Fortune multiplies the drop, while Silk Touch returns the ore block itself for machine processing. At hardness 3.0 the stone form also mines noticeably faster than the deepslate variant.

Two processing routes lead out of one Tin Ore block. Smelting the ore or its Raw Tin drop in a furnace or blast furnace yields a single Tin Ingot with 0.7 experience; the Macerator route doubles that — grinding either form into two Tin Dust for 300 EU, each dust smelting in the Electric Furnace for 200 EU. Tin then anchors the LV tier (low voltage, up to 32 EU/t): three ingots craft three Tin Cable carrying 8 EU/t, the Alloy Smelter fuses three copper ingots with one tin ingot into two Bronze Ingots for 1,200 EU, four tin plates plus a glass pane fold into eight Empty Cans, and two ingots over four planks build the Industrial Workbench.

How to find and process Tin Ore in Ala Industrial

  1. 1

    Search the copper band

Tin generates between Y −16 and Y 64 — the same band as copper — at roughly twelve veins per chunk of up to eight blocks. In stone the ore is Tin Ore; where a vein crosses deepslate it becomes the harder deepslate variant, so both forms appear in one mining trip.

  2. 2

    Mine with a stone pickaxe

A stone pickaxe or better is enough; wooden and golden pickaxes break Tin Ore without a drop. Each block drops one Raw Tin — Fortune multiplies the drop, and Silk Touch returns the ore block itself if you plan to macerate the whole block.

  3. 3

    Smelt for one ingot

A furnace or blast furnace turns the ore block or its Raw Tin into one Tin Ingot with 0.7 experience — the no-machines route available from the first day.

  4. 4

    Double the yield with machines

Feed the ore block or the Raw Tin to the Macerator (300 EU) for two Tin Dust, then smelt each dust in the Electric Furnace (200 EU): two Tin Ingots per block instead of one.

  5. 5

Spend tin on the LV tier

Three ingots make three Tin Cable carrying 8 EU/t, the Alloy Smelter turns three copper ingots plus one tin ingot into two Bronze Ingots for 1,200 EU, and two ingots over four planks build the Industrial Workbench.

Important

Tin Dust has no vanilla furnace or blasting recipe — the Electric Furnace is the only way to smelt it, so build one before committing ore to the doubled route. Tin Ore (hardness 3.0) mines faster than Deepslate Tin Ore (4.5) but drops exactly the same items.

Frequently asked questions

Where does Tin Ore spawn in Ala Industrial?

Between Y −16 and Y 64 — the same height band as copper — at roughly twelve veins per chunk of up to eight blocks. Tin is the most common of the mod's metals, so the stone form turns up quickly while mining at mid depths.

What pickaxe do you need for Tin Ore?

A stone pickaxe or better. Wooden and golden pickaxes break the block but drop nothing. The stone form has hardness 3.0 and mines faster than the deepslate variant at 4.5.

How many ingots does one Tin Ore give?

One Tin Ingot when smelted or blasted. Grinding the block or its Raw Tin into two Tin Dust in the Macerator (300 EU) and smelting both in the Electric Furnace (200 EU each) yields two.

What is tin used for in Ala Industrial?

Tin Cable for 8 EU/t LV networks (three ingots make three cables), Bronze Ingots in the Alloy Smelter (three copper plus one tin for 1,200 EU), tin plates for Empty Cans, the Battery recipe, and the Industrial Workbench.

Is tin renewable?

Yes. The Incubator in duplicate mode turns one Tin Ingot into two with a 55 percent success chance for 4,000 EU per attempt, so tin stays renewable after the veins run dry.

Does Tin Ore exist in vanilla Minecraft or Bedrock?

No. Tin Ore comes from the Ala Industrial mod for Minecraft 26.2 on the Java Edition — there is no Bedrock version — and behaves identically on Fabric and NeoForge.
