Tempered Iron Sword
Tempered Iron Sword deals 6.5 attack damage and lasts 350 uses — a hardened Ala Industrial blade one step above iron and just below diamond.
Description
In play, the Tempered Iron Sword fills the gap between iron and diamond cleanly. It cannot mine diamond-level blocks (that is a pickaxe's job, and its mining level is iron), but as a weapon it instantly cuts cobweb, knocks back enemies, and accepts the full vanilla sword enchantment set — Sharpness, Looting, Fire Aspect, Unbreaking, and Mending. Craft it on a workbench from two tempered iron ingots and a stick, repair it at an anvil with a single ingot, and very rarely a wild zombie may spawn holding one as a trophy drop. For Minecraft 26.2 on Fabric or NeoForge.

How to craft and use the Tempered Iron Sword in Minecraft
-
1
Smelt iron into tempered iron
Place iron ingots in a furnace, blast furnace, or the mod's electric furnace to convert them 1:1 into tempered iron — the hardened material every tempered iron tool is built from.
-
2
Craft the sword at a workbench
Arrange two tempered iron ingots in a vertical column with one stick directly below them — the vanilla sword pattern — to produce one Tempered Iron Sword.
-
3
Fight with the hardened blade
The sword deals 6.5 attack damage, instantly cuts cobweb, and knocks back enemies, with the same 1.6 attack speed as an iron sword.
-
4
Enchant and repair it
At an enchanting table it accepts Sharpness, Looting, Fire Aspect, Unbreaking, and Mending (enchantability 16). Repair a worn sword at an anvil with a single tempered iron ingot.
The Tempered Iron Sword shares the iron mining level, so it cannot harvest diamond ore, obsidian, or ancient debris — but as a weapon that is expected. It needs no EU; it wears down through ordinary durability use.

How much damage does the Tempered Iron Sword do?
It deals 6.5 attack damage, exactly 0.5 more than a vanilla iron sword, at the same attack speed of 1.6.
How do you craft the Tempered Iron Sword?
Place two tempered iron ingots in a vertical column with one stick below them on a crafting table — the standard sword pattern — to get one sword.
How durable is the Tempered Iron Sword?
It has 350 durability, 100 uses more than an iron sword, spent on both hits and the blocks it breaks such as cobweb.
Does the Tempered Iron Sword need EU or energy?
No. It is a plain hand tool with no energy cost — it only wears down through ordinary durability use, like a vanilla iron sword.

Yes. With enchantability 16 it accepts the full vanilla sword set from an enchanting table: Sharpness, Looting, Fire Aspect, Unbreaking, and Mending.

Rarely. Wild zombies can spawn holding one at roughly 2% times the difficulty multiplier, and drop it on death at 8.5% per level of Looting.
