An enchanting table accepts Efficiency, Unbreaking, Fortune, Silk Touch, and Mending for Tempered Iron Shovel, and the material's enchantability of 16 catches those enchantments a little better than iron's 14. When durability runs low, Tempered Iron Shovel repairs at an anvil with a single tempered iron ingot, the same material smelted one-to-one from a vanilla iron ingot. For players who have not yet reached diamond, Tempered Iron Shovel is the natural mid-game digging upgrade on Fabric or NeoForge for Minecraft 26.2.
