Tempered Iron Pickaxe
Tempered Iron Pickaxe is Ala Industrial's hand tool with 350 durability and 7.0 mining speed — the natural upgrade between iron and diamond pickaxes.
Description
Craft a Tempered Iron Pickaxe at any workbench in the classic pickaxe pattern — three tempered iron ingots across the top row and two sticks down the centre column. Tempered iron itself is smelted from ordinary iron ingots in a furnace or blast furnace, so the pickaxe stays renewable through iron golem farms. Repair on an anvil takes tempered iron — a regular iron ingot will not work — at the vanilla XP cost. The enchanting table offers the full vanilla pickaxe set: Efficiency, Unbreaking, Fortune, Silk Touch and Mending. An Industrialist villager at trade level 4 also buys one pickaxe for one emerald, limited to three trades.

How to get a Tempered Iron Pickaxe in Minecraft
-
1
Smelt tempered iron
Place iron ingots in a furnace or blast furnace to turn each one into a tempered iron ingot — 0.5 XP per ingot, and a blast furnace works twice as fast.
-
2
Craft at a workbench
On a 3x3 crafting grid, lay three tempered iron ingots across the top row and two sticks down the centre column — the classic vanilla pickaxe pattern.
-
3
Mine at speed 7.0
The Tempered Iron Pickaxe breaks every iron-level block at speed 7.0 and lasts 350 uses — 100 more than a vanilla iron pickaxe.
-
4
Repair on an anvil
Combine the damaged pickaxe with tempered iron ingots on an anvil; regular iron ingots do not repair tempered-iron tools.
Ala Industrial runs only on Minecraft 26.2 Java Edition, identically on Fabric and NeoForge; the Tempered Iron Pickaxe does not exist in Bedrock Edition.

Frequently asked questions
How do you craft a Tempered Iron Pickaxe?
Place three tempered iron ingots across the top row of a 3x3 workbench grid and two sticks down the centre column — the classic vanilla pickaxe pattern.
Is the Tempered Iron Pickaxe better than a vanilla iron pickaxe?
Yes, in every stat: 350 durability instead of 250, mining speed 7.0 instead of 6.0, attack damage 4.5 instead of 4.0 and enchantability 16 instead of 14.
Can the Tempered Iron Pickaxe mine diamonds?
No. The mining level stays at iron, so diamond ore, deepslate diamond ore, obsidian and ancient debris drop nothing — exactly like a vanilla iron pickaxe.
How do you repair the Tempered Iron Pickaxe?
On an anvil with tempered iron ingots, through the mod's tempered_iron_tool_materials tag. Regular iron ingots do not work.
Is the Tempered Iron Pickaxe renewable?
Yes. Tempered iron is smelted from plain iron ingots, and iron is renewable through iron golem farms; the two sticks come from any wood.
Does the pickaxe work on Fabric and NeoForge?
Yes — Ala Industrial targets Minecraft 26.2 Java Edition on both loaders, and the Tempered Iron Pickaxe behaves identically on each. There is no Bedrock Edition version.
